Focus and the power of thought is something that is often underestimated.
As we come closer to the holiday season our minds inevitably ponder those things we may want and need. We all have our hopes and wishes. However, these thoughts and feelings may not be having the effect we are trying to achieve. If we consider focus and the power of thought, there may be a better way…
Please take a few moments to read and consider the following.
Think about the many things you want…
Some of those things may be material things, some emotional, some personal, some global.
The issue is that all the things may be different, but all will have one thing in common – They are all wants. So, the predominant power is given to the wanting rather than having that which we desire.
What may result is a growing feeling of wanting.
Think about the things you need…
Again, all the things may be different, but all will have one thing in common – They are all needs. So, the predominant power is given to the needing rather than having that which we desire.
What may result is a growing feeling of needing.
The problem is wanting and needing can very easily trigger feelings of absence.
Our focus should be on the having…then the power is given to having and this can be tricky.
“You must want what you have before you can have what you want”
The law of attraction
The law of attraction is an idea that positive thoughts can bring positive things into a person’s life, while negative thoughts can bring negative outcomes. It surrounds the belief that our thoughts are a form of energy, and that focus and the power of thought can attract and create our reality.
This law focuses on the beauty of the perfection of the now – the idea that there are always things you can do to improve your feelings of the present moment. Wanting and needing can often reinforce the feelings that the present, the Now, is somehow flawed. We should focus our energy on finding and seeing the perfection and the beauty in the now…
Putting the law of attraction into practice involves three key elements
1. Spend some time or moments being grateful for something good in your world/life.
2. Spend some time daydreaming. Do this to help visualise your goals – see yourself in that place of having.
3. Use positive affirmations – https://hollyblueholt.co.uk/chakras-and-affirmations
.…give it a try
